This refurbishment of the top floor of the modernist J.D. Story building breathes life into UQ Marketing and Communications workplace with a fresh take on the planning arrangement for a linear floorplate.  

 

UQ Marketing and Communications wanted a workplace that provided for a more collaborative working environment for its growing team. The existing materials of the 50’s building are retained and reinterpreted with a soft overlay of acoustic treatments in the furniture, lighting and panel systems. These acoustic measures create a layered experience as you negotiate the space. This layering is supported by intricate timber detailing to create a crafted and warm environment for this workforce.
