A refreshing new refurbishment for a level of UQ’s Gordon Greenwood Building.
This project involved the interior refurbishment of the 4th level of the Gordon Greenwood Building at the University of Queensland to create a new entry space and support facilities. The central foyer space is designed to display antiquities and artwork in a secure environment as a primary entrance experience. The project also includes a lunchroom refurbishment, with new joinery and furniture. Offices were demolished and rebuilt to create equitable spaces and increase the soundproof qualities of their rooms, minimising noise transfer between adjacent spaces. A flexible function & gathering space was also designed for staff to address quiet work as well as be utilised as a function space. The project has successfully given the Gordon Greenwood Building a revitalised, modern communal workspace.
