Renew Mackay is the successful proponent for the revitalisation of the Mackay City Centre led by Mackay City Council. 

O’Neill Architecture, as part of the Renew Mackay consortium has won the bid for the future of the Mackay waterfront precinct. The masterplan for the project focuses on a range of interlinked sites in central Mackay just south of the Forgan bridge.

Designed in several stages, each stage carefully considers how the sites can be best linked with adjacent public lands and facilities. The masterplan creates a new pedestrian access between the CBD, Bluewater Quay and the Pioneer River.    

 

The masterplan will revitalise Mackay and provide it with a platform for enhanced city-based life through a mix of residential, commercial, hospitality and retail opportunities.
