The Mitchell building is part of the multi-stage Kingsford Terrace retirement village at Corinda. The building occupies a small portion of the site and faces Morcom Avenue, a quiet residential street filled with character houses. This small cluster of units mitigates between two divergent scales – the residential street and the multi-residential apartment building.  

 

The scale of the building is 2 storeys to the street, while car access is provided at the rear.  Materials are carefully sculpted to create a fine grained and domestic architecture sympathetic with the surrounding area.
