The Kingsford Terrace Masterplan is a seven-stage, 300 resident, retirement community development located at Corinda.
The masterplan was completed in 2016 as the current iteration of vertical retirement villages was in its infancy. Aura’s aspirations were to create a community that supported and enlivened its residents. For light and sun, the buildings were arranged around a central courtyard. This open space provides amenity to the buildings as well as solitude for 2 residents on a park bench. Central to resident’s lifestyle is the creation of the community hub. This was realised in the first building, Duporth. Duporth includes extensive ground floor community facilities of a scale to serve the full development. Each stage will have a strong emphasis on connections between internal and external landscaped communal spaces. These integrated landscape areas and prioritisation of pedestrian permeability are central to the masterplan as a whole. Kingsford Terrace has proven itself as a valuable addition to the evolution of vertical retirement villages in SE QLD.
